Mel Brooks Herr Bürgermeister
Mel Brooks, director, producer, writer and actor, is one of the few entertainers to have earned a Tony, Emmy, Grammy and an Academy Award. His career began in TV writing for YOUR SHOW OF SHOWS and together with Buck Henry creating the long-running TV series GET SMART. With Carl Reiner he wrote and performed the Grammy-winning 2000 YEAR OLD MAN comedy albums & books. Mel won his first Academy Award in 1964 for writing and narrating the animated short, THE CRITIC, and his second for writing his first feature film, THE PRODUCERS, in 1968. For three successive seasons, 1997-1999, Mel won Emmy Awards for his role in MAD ABOUT YOU. In 2001, he won three Tony and two Grammy Awards for THE PRODUCERS: THE NEW MEL BROOKS MUSICAL, achieving a Tony Award record. He received The Kennedy Center Honors in 2009, recognizing a lifetime of extraordinary contributions to American culture. He was the 41st recipient of the AFI’s Life Achievement Award, and in 2016, he was awarded The National Medal of Arts, America’s highest honor bestowed on an artist. Mel lives in Los Angeles.
Jane Lynch Sinistra
Raised near Chicago, actress Jane Lynch is the two-time Emmy winning host of HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT and an Emmy and Golden Globe winner for her portrayal of Sue Sylvester on GLEE. Credits include THE GOOD FIGHT on CBS and Amazon’s THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL. Additional television credits include portraying Janet Reno in MANIFESTO, CRIMINAL MINDS, PORTLANDIA, ANGEL FROM HELL, PARTY DOWN, LOVESPRING INTERNATIONAL, TWO AND A HALF MEN, and THE L WORD. Lynch’s film credits include WRECK IT RALPH I and II, THE THREE STOOGES, THE 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN, TALLADEGA NIGHTS, ROLE MODELS, JULIE & JULIA, A MIGHTY WIND, BEST IN SHOW, and FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION. She made her Broadway debut in the 2013 production of ANNIE, and soon thereafter embarked on her own live concert tour, SEE JANE SING, with Kate Flannery and Tim Davis in 2015. Her memoir HAPPY ACCIDENTS topped several national best-sellers lists, including The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times. Jane lives in Los Angeles.
Matt Lucas Zachiel
Best known as the Co-creator and Co-star of the UK's LITTLE BRITAIN and COME FLY WITH, Matt first came to prominence in SHOOTING STARS with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. The three BBC series and 2 Christmas specials won nearly every award for which they were nominated including 3 BAFTAs. Matt has played Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum in both Disney ALICE IN WONDERLAND films. He also played Gil in BRIDESMAIDS and appeared in the hit adaptation PADDINGTON. He has appeared on a number of US comedies including COMMUNITY, PORTLANDIA and FRESH OFF THE BOAT. In the UK, Matt recently starred as the series regular Nardole in DOCTOR WHO series 10. He fulfilled a lifetime ambition to appear in LES MISERABLES playing Thenardier in both the 25th Anniversary Concert at the O2 Arena, and for a run in the West End. His memoir LITTLE ME was published by Cannongate in 2017. Recent credits include HOW TO TALK TO GIRLS AT PARTIES, A FUTILE AND STUPID GESTURE, Jonas Åkerlund’s 2019 feature film POLAR on Netflix, and the lead in the revived version of the classic British musical ME AND MY GIRL, at the Chichester Festival Theatre. Jennifer Holliday Ava
Jennifer Holliday catapulted to stardom 35 years ago in the smash Broadway musical, DREAMGIRLS, with her show-stopping performance as Effie "Melody" White, the iconic role which garnered her a Tony Award for Best Actress in A Musical. She was discovered at age 17 while singing in her church choir in Houston, Texas by dancer Jamie Patterson, who persuaded her to move to New York City, where she made her Broadway debut in Vinnette Carroll's YOUR ARMS TOO SHORT TO BOX WITH GOD as a featured soloist. Beyond Broadway, Ms. Holliday appeared as Lisa Knowles on the Fox TV dramedy, ALLY MCBEAL. She has also enjoyed a successful recording career, winning Grammy Awards for her mesmerizing performances of AND I AM TELLING YOU, I'M NOT GOING (1982) and Duke Ellington’s COME SUNDAY (1985). Ms. Holliday has also received rave reviews for her first album in two decades, THE SONG IS YOU (2014). Jennifer lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
Lilla Crawford Lilli
Lilla Crawford is an accomplished stage, screen, and voice actress who made her Broadway debut at age 9 in the Tony Award-Winning musical BILLY ELLIOT. At age 11, she booked the title role in the Broadway revival of ANNIE against 5,000 actresses who auditioned in a nationwide search. She garnered Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Awards nominations for her performance. On screen, Lilla played Little Red Riding Hood in Disney's INTO THE WOODS film alongside Academy Award-winners Meryl Streep and Johnny Depp. She recently voiced the title character on Nickelodeon’s animated series SUNNY DAY and was a series regular on Netflix’s scripted sketch comedy series THE WHO WAS SHOW. Lilla has guest starred on numerous television shows including FOREVER, BLUE BLOODS, and SAMANTHA BEE: CHRISTMAS ON I.C.E. As a singer, Lilla has recorded albums and performed in numerous readings and benefit concerts at venues including David Geffen Hall with the NY Philharmonic and Avery Fisher Hall. Lilla currently lives in New York City and has a younger sister, Savvy Crawford, who is also a Broadway, TV, voice and screen actress.
Griffin Puatu Lukas
Griffin Puatu is an actor and singer prominently working in animation and video games. From the time he could talk, Griffin had a passion for using his voice to entertain others. He would sing along to the radio and quote lines from animated movies, imitating the characters voices. This early passion soon translated to choral singing, musical theatre, improv and stage acting, and eventually voice acting. Griffin has appeared in several anime titles, most recently as Jona Basta in MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM NARRATIVE, as well as ONE-PUNCH MAN, HUNTER X HUNTER, CHARLOTTE, and the anime film FIREWORKS, where he played the character Jun’ichi. He’s also voiced in several video games, including Nintendo’s WARIOWARE GOLD, YO-KAI WATCH 3, Square Enix’s JUST CAUSE 4, as well as SHADOWVERSE, BLACK DESERT ONLINE and many more. Griffin lives in Los Angeles, California.
Whoopi Goldberg the Storyteller
Whoopi Goldberg is one of a very elite group of artists who have won the Grammy, the Academy Award, the Golden Globe, the Emmy and a Tony. She is also a prolific producer and is well-known around the world for her many humanitarian endeavors. Born and raised in New York City, she performed in San Diego and the Bay Area with the Blake Street Hawkeyes theatre troupe. It was there that she created the characters which became THE SPOOK SHOW and evolved into her hit Broadway show, Grammy Award-winning album and the HBO special that helped launch her career. Whoopi lives in a gated community in West Orange, New Jersey's Llewellyn Park.
